If the campus is small, the Special Education Learning Center can be more centralized. If the campus is larger, the spaces for service providers to work with students should be integrated at each grade level inside or next to the General Ed classrooms. For students with increased special needs, having furniture such as rocking chairs and beanbag chairs that both mainstream students and they can use interwoven throughout the learning spaces will support OUSD’s vision for a highly inclusive environment.

The Ed Specs serve to illustrate concepts that will inform the master plans based on OUSD's aspirations to the audience of future architects who will implement them as well as for OUSD stakeholders to understand the reasoning behind modernizations.
